Two New SFP Initiatives in France

Finally the French government is having success with SFP 6-11 after excellent an excellent cultural adaptation and implementations in three cities near Nice, France by Dr. Corinne Roehrig-Saoudi, family psychologist in the past two years. She have been awarded a grant from INPES to do SFP 6-11 Years trainings in nine cities. At the same time, Dr. Ulrich Vandoorne had been awarded a grant from the Foundation de France also culturally adapt and train professionals to implement SFP 12-16 in about the same number of cities. A training workshop by Drs. Kumpfer and Whiteside with Dr. Roehrig-Saoudi is scheduled in Paris for September 2015 to launch these initiatives. The INPES national agency for drug abuse prevention is also considering creating a SFP Coordinating Council for France as is done in Ireland to assure quality and fidelity of SFP cultural adaptations and implementation. She has also just completed a SFP 6-11 DVD for France as well.
